History

The most famous Buddhist temple located on the bank of the Yamuna River in New Delhi is called the Buddhist Vihar Ladakh or the Buddhist monastery near the Kashmere Gate metro station.

A brightly colored building with a giant Lord Buddha placed inside the temple. A lot of small prayer wheels are installed in the main temple facilities and a large one that works outside the temple.

Mani wheel or Prayer wheel :-

A prayer wheel is a cylindrical wheel on an axle made of metal, wood, stone, leather or thick cotton. Traditionally, the most used mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is written in Sanskrit on the outside of the wheel. In the center of the cylinder there is a "Tree of life" that is usually made of wood or metal with some mantras written or wrapped around it. Many thousands (or in the case of large prayer wheels, millions) of mantras The Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is the most used, but other mantras can also be used.
